Hey everyone!! Sorry it has been so long since my last blog. Been super busy! As you know, my husband and I have started a decal business. Well, you always see these "Coexist" decals. That gave me an idea. A mash up decal for not just religions but also as many of a person's favorite things as possible in a SHORT phrase. I started doing this as a way to show people a lot about myself in a single picture. So here is my mash-up and below I will explain each letter and what it represents.
So the phrase is "Bad Wolf". That comes from the TV show Doctor Who. It is referring to my favorite companion ROSE TYLER. Now to let me break it down and show what each part represents.
The "B" is from the logo of THE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (TV Show). The beauty and the beast is also my favorite fairy tale growing up.
The "A" is a logo for MGK, which is my favorite rapper and it also comes from my favorite bike TV show SONS OF ANARCHY.
The D & W come from DOCTOR WHO and forms a TARDIS! I absolutely love Doctor Who.
The "O" is actually a WHITE ROSE. This is hands down my favorite flower. It means innocent and pure.
The "L" is purple because it is my favorite color.
The "F" is the logo from one of the FAST AND FURIOUS movies, which is my all time favorite movie franchise of all time. It love it so much that my best friend who is like my older brother and I have matching tattoos that is the dodge charger from it and both tattoos say "Dom&Mia" Dom is first on me because I always have his back and Mia is first on him because he always has my back.
So that is my first MASH UP!!!! I am super excited to start offering these to the ones that want it and are willing to work with me on them.

Doing it all .... and loving it
We all have a time in our lives where we think "Yeah, we are doing it all .... and we are loving it." That is how I feel (most of the time anyways) about doing everything that I am doing.
At Dairy Queen, I am known for being nice, polite and super friendly. My bosses put me on front counter more than most day shift people because they know that even when a customer wants to be so rude and mean to me, I can put a smile on my face and calmly let them know that I will be more than happy to help them. Even if that means getting the manager.
At Eriks Photo Creations, well not too much is going on with that as of right now. So we are stuck with doing the very minimum that we have to keep it going.
With Embassy Decals, I am getting newsletters and email marketing lined up and ready to go. I am also pushing our stuff on to Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat! I am for real about to launch something huge for the VIP subscribers. (If you are interested in becoming a VIP subscriber, then please email me at bethpennington2016@gmail.com to see how to become one!) But before you can be a VIP, you have to be a subscriber. We can go ahead and take care of that here. Let me go ahead and say thanks for subscribing! You will need to confirm your email if you do it that way. If you want to just send me your email address then that will be fine too. Just let me know. Again, my email address is bethpennington2016@gmail.com.
Erik and I also work for the Memphis Lifestyle magazine. We are a freelance photojournalism team for it and are currently waiting on our next assignment.
Then there is working on the book and other little stories here and there that I am working on as well as a few assignments that keep my journalistic mind fresh!
Peace out for now,
Beth Pennington

Try not to get offended
Unless you have been living under a rock, you know the Rebel flag is known to cause some trouble here in the South. People who think they know everything and really they don't even know the real history of the Confederate Flag want to take it down and wipe it away from our history books. They think that if they take down our flag and our statues, then suddenly racism will go away. But what they can't see is, by being foolish enough to try to wipe it out of history they will cause the raft between the two races to go deeper.
But now the Confederate Flag isn't the only flag that people are having issues with. Now, there is a school in Michigan that wants to try to ban our COUNTRY'S FLAG. That's right the stars and stripes themselves. The one that growing up, I pledged allegiance to everyday before school. The school sent out a list of "banned items" and when a lot of people saw the "US Flag" on that list. They got offended and started to call the school out on it. But the school wants to say it never meant for it to have appeared on that list.
When schools send out letters to parents, especially when it is SCHOOL WIDE, doesn't someone; an assistant, sectary, etc. proofread the letters. So, someone had to see it and must have thought it was okay enough to send to the copier and make enough copies to send to all the students. This is why I am saying, people WAKE THE FREAK UP! Not only here in the South but everywhere!!! Why should we allow the very people who hate and despise this country try to take our flags and our symbols of American pride!
You wanna take the General Robert E. Lee statues down? NO! What if someone wanted to take down the President Abraham Lincoln Memorial? We would be in an uproar!! What if someone wanted to take down the hotel that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was shot and killed at? People would be marching all around the country for that cause! So why should us proud southerners just accept that people wanting to take down our flag and memorials? It shouldn't happen!

Leaving The Past Behind
I am currently working on writing a book. It's titled Leaving the Past Behind. It is about this nineteen year old girl who has to make a choice to leave her family and hometown behind and follow her dream and heart to a new town. I will be posting updates about the book through this blog. I will be posting blurbs from the book and about the characters.
It starts with my main character walking home from her job at the local library as a nineteen year old young lady and she is thinking about leaving behind her mom and dad and their safe small town to live in another small town in a different state. However, in this small town she doesn't have to hide any part of her. There are a few things about her that she knows her parents would not approve of and so she hides them from her parents.
This story shows that people can outgrow their parents and their hometown but still have so much love for them. That is something that I want to show in this book because even though I moved away from my hometown but I still have love for my hometown. But it takes strength to move away from the town that says "this is all there is" and "there is nothing more out there".
I made it out of my small hometown. I made it out of the one place that told me that there was nothing else out there for me and there was never going to be anything out there for me and that I should just stay in that small town and settle for whatever loser I find in high school. Well, I didn't do any of that. I moved during high school. I graduated high school and went to college. Then graduated.
In 2015, I met my soul mate and in 2016 I married him. In 2017 we started two of our own businesses and we also started freelancing as a photojournalism team. So, it has been a super busy year for us!!!
